This section of the website is dedicated to celebrating the success stories from creative projects in schools. Over the last 15 years, I have taught slam poetry, songwriting, and filmmaking to thousands of students. I’ve also been involved hosting cultural performance workshops with Tribe of One, a national collective of indigenous musicians, dancers, painters and slam poets.
This section is a celebration of success stories over the years, and of the creativity of students and schools. Each project is unique, and the goals and learning objectives can change from project to project, which is why I want to share this collection, and describe the process, the challenges and why each project ultimately was successful.
If you are a teacher, administrator, or even a parent committee member, and you are looking for projects or presenters who can involve all the students in your school in a creative project that provides an opportunity for students who are gifted differently to work together in an environment that creates a win-win situation for all students, these projects are definitely worth your time checking out.
