Rik Leaf is a Canadian TV, Video & Music Producer, Recording Artist, Slam Poet, Published author and the Creative Director for Tribe of One, a national collective of indigenous artists.

His Creative Development training programs and conference presentations are inspired by 20 years working at the highest levels of creative collaboration on TV shows, film sets, recording studios and production teams for Beauty & the Beast, Rent, Metallica, Aerosmith, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bryan Adams, Shania Twain and Tribe of One.

His innovative approach to creativity in education and overcoming racism and bigotry through culture has established his place as a thought leader at the forefront of emerging technologies and initiatives. He has collaborated with the United Nations, UNESCO, the Foreign Affairs Department of Canada, War Child Canada, educators and indigenous communities across Canada, Aboriginal People Television Network, countless community groups and schools.

Creative Development On The Front Lines

Rik's ideas are inspired by the work he is currently doing. Each year he produces a limited number of creative development workshops in communities across Canada. These productions involve thousands of individuals from dozens of organizations. The multimedia videos produced through these training sessions garner thousands of views and regularly attract media attention.

Sharing The Stories of Creative Peers & Mentors

As the Producer & Host of the Artist Next Door TV series, Rik shares inspiring stories and insights from award-winning artists, photojournalists, political cartoonists, children’s illustrators, punk rock painters, filmmakers, luthiers, fiddlers and Taiko drummers he has interviewed. 

Indigenous Performance Workshop Presentations

Working with Tribe of One involves developing a roster of principal artists and producing multicultural performance workshops and conference presentations. Leading the collective involves developing strategic communications for product launches, tours, managing media development with a team of graphic designers, web developers, photographers, filmmakers and editors to create consistent brand images for CDs, media kits, brochures, TV shows and videos.
